ORCCO AED Training

<1>Employee safety and health have always been a top priority for any company. Recently, ORCCO organized a professional AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training at our factory to improve our employees' emergency response capabilities. This training not only enhanced our staff's first-aid skills but also reaffirmed our commitment to safety, providing comprehensive protection for every employee within the factory.

What is AED?

An AED (Automated External Defibrillator) is a device designed to detect irregularities in heart rhythms and can be used to treat patients suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. It works by delivering a controlled shock to the heart, restoring a normal rhythm and potentially saving lives. AEDs are simple to use, even for non-medical personnel, making them essential in critical situations.

Training Goals and Content

The goal of the AED training was to improve employees' ability to respond effectively to emergencies, especially incidents such as sudden cardiac arrest. The training covered the following topics:

AED Device Structure and Function: An introduction to the basic components and functions of an AED, along with key operational guidelines.

Proper Use of AED: How to operate the AED correctly, deliver a shock, and determine when the device is needed.

Basic CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Since CPR combined with AED usage significantly increases survival rates, employees were also trained in the foundational steps of CPR.

On-Site Emergency Aid: Guidance on providing effective emergency aid while waiting for professional medical assistance to arrive.

Training Process and Interaction

The training was led by certified emergency response instructors who used a combination of theory and hands-on practice. Employees were given the opportunity to operate the AED devices themselves, practicing from detection to shock delivery and performing CPR. The interactive nature of the session allowed employees to ask questions and clarify doubts, ensuring they were fully equipped to handle emergencies.

Notably, 50 employees successfully completed the hands-on training and received their AED certification, proving they have acquired professional life-saving skills and are ready to assist in emergencies.

Training Outcomes and Significance

The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Employees reported feeling more confident and prepared to handle emergency situations. The training not only improved their practical skills but also raised awareness of the critical importance of emergency response. By the end of the session, participants felt empowered to act quickly and effectively in case of a cardiac emergency.
